Apritada is one of the popular dishes in the Philippines . Mostly when you go to a fiesta celebration, they have this dish in their table. I’m not really very fond of this but many of my Filipino friends love this so I thought I will share it to you guys. Maybe you will like it too. It’s so easy to prepare. Just have the following:
• 1 kilo pork, sliced
• ¼ kilo potatoes, cut into quarters
• 1 big onion, chopped
• 2 pieces sweet red pepper
• 1 can Del Monte Sauce (8 oz)
• ½ c. bread crumbs
• Salt and pepper
• Garlic, crushed
Just sauté the garlic, onion and tomatoes in oil. Add pork and water. Cook until tender. Add tomato sauce and the rest of the ingredients until sauce becomes thick.

I can imagine the Lord visiting mother earth. First, He sees His once beautiful mountains now denuded and fast eroding. He observes His seas and oceans now polluted with debris. It wasn’t like this in the beginning. It wasn’t like this at all.

It is also important for couples to have a daily routine to spend time together. Spending time together opens the communication with your spouse or partner. Good practice would be you have time to eat together or have an activity that both of you enjoy.
It’s time to prepare for Christmas. Make sure you make a list for the food/meal you want to prepare for the holiday so that you won’t buy unnecessary things. May be if you have extra money you can buy ahead of time rather than last minute buying. Just make sure you check for the expiratory dates and do not bring your children. There are alternative foods that you can prepare instead of pasta you can cook pancit, cake to local kakanin, or instead of chicken macaroni salad you can serve buko salad.’’
When I am with my friends, we like to stay at our school garden during lunch break. Instead of sitting on the benches we sit on the grass or sometimes we bring mats so that we can lie down. During that time, we take turns to read stories out loud. Of course with special effects like changing the tone of our voice.
Commuters who don’t bring or even doesn’t have an umbrella ends up waiting for the rain to stop. But there is a new gimmick now wherein bystanders bring their beach umbrellas giving shelter to stranded passengers. They offer their umbrella but you have to pay 1.00 Php. He-he-he. Now that’s what we call initiative.
When I was a student, we don’t have a bread toaster in our boarding house. I wanted to make a sandwich. What I did was, I preheated a pan. Got two slices of bread and on top of it I placed cheese and then cover it with slice bread. Placed the sandwich on the pan, I waited until 3 minutes per side to turn golden-brown and of course made sure that the cheese is melted. Yummy!
I just received an email from my sister. This weekend the whole family will be going to a new resort in Bukidnon. Oh! They are so excited. It’s been three weekends now that they’ve been having adventure on resorts just enjoying the view and the amenities like swimming pool, cable car, horse back riding, and a lot more. I wish they will send me some pictures.
When we say summer – it’s always beaches but for me I always look forward for our yearly camping. Our school always held camping events inside our campus. What I like about camping is putting up a tent with my fellow girl scouts. And during at night we set a bonfire were all camping scouts gather together and sing, dance, and a lot more activities.
The legendary basketball player of the Los Angeles Lakers was accused of faking AIDS by a pair of talk show hosts. This irked him that he said “I had Aids and I didn’t fake it.” Although he did not want the hosts to be fired, he condemned the statement made after which the station apologized for having people who make false accusations and wrong information. For after all, what will Magic Johnson gain by faking Aids?
